Durham Market Master

Earn profits against a tight timer in this genre mashup of idle games and point-and-click RTS titles. Haggle with customers, place stalls, and allocate employees, all while fending off thieves and street performers. Put your memory to the test by remembering customer names and ensure you do not bother the same person twice, or you will face the consequences.

The campaign takes place over five days, each introducing a new mechanic or twist. There are two possible endings, one of which is moderately difficult to achieve, and one of which is so hard that the developer has only reached it once. A perfect game for playing with a podcast in the background, or for playing with extreme concentration to try and achieve the near-unobtainable Good Ending.

The game takes place in an accurate representation of Durham Market Square, England, and was initially developed as part of a Durham University module on game design. I do not recommend the module, but I do recommend the game.
